The dress that just keeps on giving! My favourite wardrobe staple aside from a silk camisole, the "slip dress." Why do I love it? That is simple, its chic, effortless and timeless. What is a girl not to love?! You can dress this style way up or dress it down! Do you have that one "basic" solid summer dress that you throw on kimonos or sweaters over top and it just feels RIGHT?! Well, think of upgrading that to a chic slip dress! Its all in the fabrication for me and when it comes to a satin/silky number you have me SOLD. Who doesn't love feeling a silky, luxe fabric against their skin on those warm summer evenings?! Better yet, take it into fall/winter with black tights and a thick statement sweater. The possibilities are endless with this piece.

Wear it to work?!

Of course! With this relaxed fit, sheath style silhouette it makes for a great foundation to a great "power look" for work! You can belt the dress with a thin or thick belt, depending on preference, and add a blazer. Shown below I am wearing our fabulous, "Day to Night" slip dress! I paired it back to our """""" silky blazer for a minimalist vibe that works for the office setting. Pair back to a pair of sandals for an easy "day look" around town girlfriend! 

Wear it for girls night out?! 

Of COURSE! Throw on a leather jacket and a pump to sass it up a bit! Pair with a belt of your choice if you want to cinch the waistline. I am pretty notorious for leaving things loose, I don't like to feel a lot of "stuff" on my body aside form a beautiful fabric. Make the look your own, but absolutely throw this on for a fun night out on the town! To the right of the #GNO look we have the same vibe style down to a chic pair of #stylesnob mules! This is an edgy, simple look to wear through out the day.

Side note, I LOVE an over sized clutch! Pair any fun pop of color or print clutch to sass up a look ALWAYS!

Style with espadrilles?

UHhh...SO MUCH YES. Spring is upon us. Pull this espadrilles out. Shoes are everything, they make or break an outfit (in my humble opinion) and they switch the whole vibe up so much, just by simply being shoes! 

Style with a Cardi?!

YES, girl. Style a slip dress back to a fuzzy, luxe cardi for a cozy look. Use a thin or thick belt to accentuate that waistline and voila, you have an effortlessly FAB-U-LOUS look! I love a good tote to top off a day look as shown below.

Can I wear it if I am all about the kimono life?

Certainly! In fact you can belt it, as shown above, with the cardi OR why not belt it over both the dress AND the kimono for a boho vibe?! Don't be afraid to get creative with this piece! A silky slip dress was made for boho babes like you! It is a wonderful foundation to any outfit.

If you are nervous about this piece, DON'T be! I can't say this enough...it really is all how you carry yourself! Carry yourself with poise and confidence and it will never matter your weight, heigh, skin color etc. Take a little chance, grab yourself a slip dress and play with it, make it your own by working it into your wardrobe.
